Change text size and fonts
Make the file list larger or smaller from the keyboard, and choose the fonts for the file list and for code.
Zoom changes the text size of the file list. Rows, icons and column headers grow and shrink with it.

Zoom the file list#
| Command | Keys |
|---|---|
| View > Zoom In | ⌘+ |
| View > Zoom Out | ⌘− |
| View > Actual Size | ⌘0 |
Each step changes the size by 1 point, from 9 to 24 points. Actual Size goes back to the size the theme uses.
Choose the fonts#
- Choose MeiFiles > Settings…, then click Appearance.
- In the Fonts section, set:
- File list font and File list size for the names in the panes.
- Mono / editor font and Mono size for fixed-width text, such as text files in the preview pane.
- Check the result in Sample.
Each font menu offers System Default, Menlo, SF Mono, Monaco and Courier New. File list size is the same setting that zoom changes. Mono size goes from 9 to 20 points.
To go back to the theme's fonts, click Reset to Skin Defaults.
Zoom the preview#
The preview pane has its own zoom. Use the zoom buttons in its toolbar, or set the starting size in Settings > Viewer > Zoom level, from 50% to 200%.
Note: Dialogs and the Settings window follow the text size set in macOS, not the file list zoom.
